Child Health Surveillance
We run a child health surveillance programme in the surgery. We run a combined clinic with the GP, practice nurse and health visitor every Wednesday morning.
After your baby is born, you need to register the birth at Hackney Town Hall and then with the surgery. You will also need to book an appointment for the baby clinic when the baby is 6-8 weeks old. The appointment will be for the GP to do the 6-8 week health check, the practice nurse who does the BCG vaccination and also with the health visitor to provide advice and support.
It would also be a good idea to make an appointment with the GP for the mother at the same time, so that we can do the post natal check.
